Eagles aiming for title, Will not really miss Kaseba
Green Eagles coach Aggrey Chiyangi has hinted on his desire to win the 2019 Transitional League Even Numbers Zone. Chiyangi guided the Choma based club to a top four finish last season after surviving relegation inn the final day of the season in 2017.
Chiyangi expects his team to work hard and maintain their top four status and maybe go one further and claim the title.
” We want to improve on the position we finished last season. We must work hard and continue going up. We need to maintain the top four and if we can finish the season on top it will be even great, ” he told the ZamFoot crew in an interview.
The Zambia National service sponsored side finished fourth with 71 points and one of the key players was striker Tapson Kaseba who netted 18 goals but has now moved on to join South African side Free State Stars.
Chiyangi however believes he has enough ammunition upfront and will not really miss Kaseba.
” Yes we had other players even when Tapson was here. We have managed to score goals even after he left so there we are not worried,” he said.
The Choma side is currently in Lusaka for a pre-season training camp and managed to beat Chisi Mbewe’s Red Arrows by a lone goal in practice match on Tuesday and Lusaka dynamos via a 7-5 scoreline over two games on Monday.
