DOISY DOUBLE SINKS KASHIKISHI… as MIGHTY CAGE POLICE
Zesco Malaiti Rangers football club this afternoon beat Newcomers in the Eden University National League Kashikishi Warriors by two goals to one at the MTN Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.
Malaiti Rangers were the dominant side from the first whistle and could have gone ahead as early as the 10th minute if it was not for the poor finishing by the strikers.
The club’s Leading Top Scorers Doisy Soko opened the scoring in the 40th minute with a clinical finish, Kashikishi Warriors came back strong in the second half as they kept on pushing for the equalize which they got in the 53rd minute through Able Musonda.
Zesco Malaiti could not sit back, they pushed for the second goal which again came through Soko who grabbed his second goal for the day and took him clear off the Faz/Eden University top Scorer’s chart with four goals.
The other game played at the Woodlands Stadium between the legendary City of Lusaka and Kafue Celtic ended in a one-all draw with veteran striker Portipher Zulu scoring for Yamoto while Limi Banda scored a crack for the Crocs.
In Mufulira, Mighty Mufulira Wanderers cruised to a 2-0 win over Police College thanks to a Phuezzy Chibandika brace while Nchanga Rangers and Livingstone Pirates played out to a 1-1 draw in Chongola.
Mpulungu Harbour picked up only their second win of the season as they beat Zesco Shockers 1-0.
