Copper Princesses book ticket to the World Cup after silencing Morocco

Copper Princesses secure World Cup qualification 

The Zambia U17 National Team have qualified to the 8th edition of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The Copper Princesses played out to a hard fought draw away in Morocco to secure qualification. 

A 3-1 first leg win was enough to give the Carol Kanyemba coached side advantage. 

Bwalya Namute Chileshe scored a hat-trick in the first leg to guide Zambia to a 3-1 wi. At the National Heroes Stadium. 

The Copper Princesses put up a solid defensive performance limiting Morocco and came close to scoring a few times. 

The qualification comes exactly ten years since the first U17 World Cup qualification by the side that had the likes of Barbra Banda , Hazel Natasha Nali, Margaret Belemu, Mary Wilimbe, Ireen Lungu etc. 

The tournament will take place between 16th  October and  3rd November, 2024 in the Dominican Republic.
