2012 Africa Cup of Nations winner Chisamba Lungu has joined National Division One side Atletico Lusaka as a coach/player.
The club took to social media to confirm the development.
“Atletico Lusaka is delighted to announce the appointment of Chisamba Lungu in the dual role of coach/player. He will hold the dual responsibilities of nurturing young players and coaching emerging midfielders.
We are honoured to enhance our technical bench with such a high-profile addition. He joins a distinguished team that includes Miguel Martinez Latorre, Brian Kunsanama, William Njovu, and Emmanuel Mayuka.”
Chisamba has previously played for Zanaco, Nkana, Buildcon, Nkwazi ,Dinamo Zugdidi in Georgia, Ura in Russia and Alanyaspor in turkey.
Chisamba was a vital member of the Herve Renard coached Chipolopolo side that won AFCON in 2012 co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
