The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has unveiled a special, limited edition kit for the Zambia National Team as they compete in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Ivory Coast.
The Chipolopolo Boys will sport the new kit in their opening match tonight against the Democratic Republic of Congo in San Pedro.
This unique design features a single star embroidered above the FAZ logo, symbolizing Zambia’s triumph at the 2012 AFCON tournament. It serves as a reminder of the team’s past glory and inspires them to strive for similar success in this edition.
Zambia returns to the continental showpiece after a three-year absence, having missed out on the previous three tournaments.
The excitement is palpable throughout the nation, and the special kit adds to the anticipation surrounding the team’s campaign.
FAZ president Andrew Kamanga had hinted at a unique kit back in December, stating, “You will see the Chipolopolo Boys in a special edition KoPa jersey,” He kept his word, and on Wednesday, the new Kopa kit was officially launched.
Tonight, the Zambia National Team will step onto the pitch in San Pedro, sporting their limited edition kit with pride.
They face a tough opponent in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but the special jersey carries the hopes and dreams of a nation yearning for a repeat of its 2012 AFCON glory. The kick-off is set for 10pm Zambian time.

The design is too cheap
It was a good start, but we could do much better boys.
