Chipolopolo to return to action in November…As CAF confirm new dates for AFCON and World Cup qualifiers
Zambia national team will return to action in November, This follows the announcement by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) that qualifiers for the Cameroon 2022 Africa Cup of Nations will resume in November.
Matchday 3 and 4 games will take place between November 9-17 while matchday 5 and 6 will take place in March next year.
“Reference to the decision of CAF Executive Committee, during its meeting held on the 30th of June 2020, to postpone the Final Tournament of the Total Africa Cup of Nations, Cameroon 2021 to January 2022 we would like to communicate to you the new dates of the qualifiers of the Total Africa Cup of Nations 2021 and the FIFA World Cup, Qatar 2022.

Zambia’s first opponent after returning to action will be Botswana in November who they battle back to back in qualifiers for the Cameroon 2021 AFCON. The Chipolopolo sit bottom of Group H which comprises Algeria, Zimbabwe, and Botswana after two rounds of matches.
The qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup will be staged from May 31 to November 16, 2021. Zambia was drawn in Group B in the Qatar 2022 race alongside Tunisia, Mauritania, and Guinea.
