Chipolopolo hit-men Mbesuma, Kalengo first to arrive for Nigeria game
The foreign based players will start arriving in the Chipolopolo camp today (Saturday) with the first in camp expected to be Chipolopolo hit-men Collins Mbesuma and Winstone Kalengo.
The Chipolopolo are currently in camp preparing for the 2018 Russia World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Coach Wedson Nyirenda summoned nine players playing outside Zambia but commenced training with the local players a week ago.
The two strikers (Mbesuma and Kalengo) partnered to devastating effect in the qualifiers for 2017 Africa Cup tournament but their efforts were not enough to see Zambia to the finals.
Kalengo who plays for AC Leopards in Congo will be looking to continue with his good run in the Race to Russia after he scored at home and away when Zambia played Sudan in the preliminary round to qualify to the group stage on a 3 – 0 aggregate scoreline.
Lubambo Musonda who was not called for his match scored the other goal in Ndola when Zambia won 2- 0.
Mbesuma arrives home on a high after he scored his 100th goal in the PSL.
Zambia play Nigeria on 9th October 2016.
