CHIPOLOPOLO DIARY: MICHO’S ASSISTANTS JET IN
The line-up for newly appointed Chipolopolo coach Milutic Sredojevic’s technical bench has been completed with the arrival of first assistant Dusan Istojanovic and goalkeeper coach Miroslav Istojinic.
Micho as the Chipolopolo coach is popularly known is currently in Yaonde, Cameroon for the Cameroon 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The arrival of the duo means the Chipolopolo bench is now complete with the locals comprising Oswald Mutapa and Stephen Mwansa.
Micho is in the process of selecting the best of the local talent through two local camps that have taken him to the Copperbelt as the convergence point for the Northern half of the country while the remaining half are converging in Lusaka starting tomorrow (Tuesday).
The technical bench will pick 30 players from each stream that will be consolidated in one batch before trimming it further.
Micho will rope the best of the local talent in his CHAN squad while the more outstanding will be drafted in the back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations ties against Botswana on March 26 and another four days later.
The Serbian Wolf has been warming to Zambian football faithful since his taking up the Chipolopolo job that was left vacant in March 2019 after the departure of Sven Vandenbroeck in the aftermath Africa Cup of Nations qualification failure.
