Chipolopolo captain back in training

Zambia national team captain Lubambo Musonda has resumed training ahead of Tuesday’s FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifier against Niger.

The 28 year old was spotted in training on Monday at the Stade de Marrakesh Annex pitch during the Chipolopolo Boys’ recovery session.

The Danish based midfielder had picked up a minor knock at his club which kept him out of the 4-2 victory over Congo on match day 1.

Should he pass a late fitness test, then he will be an option for Avram Grant on the flanks.

On Tuesday, Fashion Sakala and Lameck ‘The Beast’ Banda are expected to start on the wings while Edward ‘Tiger’ Chilufya and Clatous Chota Chama will be on the bench.

Niger and Zambia will go head to head on Tuesday with kick off at 22:00 CAT.
