Chipepo’s reign starts with triumph…Wins for MUZA, Buffaloes, Eagles and Arrows 

Mwenya Chipepo’s reign at Nkana started off with a triumph as he led the Kitwe based club to a comprehensive 3-1 win away at Shinde Stadium. 

The MTN Super League entered week 9 of action on Saturday and the big news was Mwenya Chipepo being unveiled at Nkana hours before the Mopani derby to fulfil his father’s wish. 

Chipepo did not disappoint as he successfully guided Kalampa to only their second win of the season. 

Goals from Jacob Ngulube, Patrick Gondwe and Idris Ilunga Mbombo to give Nkana the much needed maximum points.

The win takes them out of the relegation zone and up to 13th with 10 points. 

Elsewhere, In Mazabuka, Biston Banda scored a brace to guide FC MUZA to a 2-0 win over Atletico Lusaka. 

Biston Banda has now scored four goals for FC MUZA this season.

In Ndola, Abraham Siankombo’s brace was not enough as Forest Rangers came back from a goal down twice to hold the log leaders to a 2-2 draw. 

ZANACO’s winless run continued on Saturday as they played to 1-1 draw with ten man Mutondo Stars. 

Nicholas Musonda of Mutondo Stars was sent off in the 71st minute.

In Chingola, Moise Lola scored a brace as Green Eagles edged Nchanga Rangers 2-1. 

In Lusaka, Defending Champions, Red Arrows needed a late Derrick Bulaya goal to edge Nkwazi 1-0. 

Green Buffaloes moved with five points of log leaders ZESCO United and just one adrift of second placed Mutondo Stars following a 2-0 win over Lumwana Radiants. 

Lucky Bwalya scored a brace to guide the Zambia army sponsored outfit to victory.
