Chiluya moves to United States of America

2017 Zambia U20 National team AFCON winning left back Prosper Chiluya has joined United States of America second tier side Bethlehem Steel Football club on loan from Kafue Celtic.

Chiluya was instrumental in the 2017 U20 AFCON triumph and the great perfomance Coach Beston Chambeshi’s squad put up at the world cup.

His new coach Brendan Burke holds the youngster in high regard and is happy with the acquisition of the 19 year old defender.

“We are happy to add another very young player with good recent youth international experience. Prosper is already adjusting well having just arrived in the United States,” Burke told the Club’s official website.

Chiluya terminated his contract with Cyprus out-fit Paphos FC because he was not getting though game time.

  1. Wish the young man luck. I was abit taken aback by this move until I read the part about him being a bench warmer in Cyprus. Hopefully this will open some big doors for this young man. He was brilliant with the under 20.

      • There is no need to hate you mate…do you have any idea how many players are sourced from the US to play in Europe? He had an option to come back home but chose the US where he will develop much better than pa Zed. If he remains focused he will go further mate…
