ZESCO United will face Al Ghazala Wau FC of South Sudan in the African Champions League preliminary round next month after their initial opponents Al Altabara opted to compete in the Confederation Cup.
Zescounitedfc reports that CAF communicated the change to the club.
In an email rated as high importance from CAF, the reason for the change for both team and venue has not been stated.
Kindly be informed that match #26 between AL Ghazala Wau FC and Zesco United FC is scheduled on 26-02-2016 at 04, 30 in Stade Juba stadium, the mail read.
The date of the first leg still remains 13th February at Levy Mwanawasa stadium.
Typical non-direct communication tendencies in Africa. How can an organization like CAF simply send an email saying your opponent has changed with no reasonable explanation as to why. Smdh.
