Buildcon release Potipher Zulu, Chris Munthali
SUPER Division side Buildcon have released former national team defender Christopher Munthali and four others due to poor performance.
Munthali joined the big-spending Ndola-based side from Kitwe giants Nkana during the July transfer window last season.
According to Buildcon insiders, Munthali has been offloaded alongside former Lusaka Dynamos midfielder Potipher Zulu and a trio from Zimbabwe.
Munthali was one of the first notable Zambian players to make a switch to the ambitious side at the time Buildcon had over 20 foreign players in their ranks.
The Zimbabweans released are defender Partson Jaure, midfielders Nqobizita Masuku and Devon Chafa.
Buildcon have acquired the services of Moses Phiri and winger Kangwa Chileshe.

That’s what happens when you sign too many players at once, mostly foreign players for that fact. There is no quality control. I highly doubt those Zimbabweans were or are highly rated. Moreover, players need time to gell. That and the change of management over a short period of time have led to Buildcon’s poor performances. Come to think of it, once upon a time Munthali was considered a defense ‘kingpin’.
Munthali started finished when he left power dynamos to join nkana hence nkana quickly offloaded him when they received an offer from building becos they didn’t want to make a loss over him.
