Zambian side Green Buffaloes have been handed a tricky North African draw in the CAF Confederations Cup
And Zambian glamour side Nkana (Kalampa) will not be action in the preliminary round as they are on bye due to their pedigree in African football.
Kalampa will await the winner between Malian club and CR Belouizdad of Algeria.
Buffaloes will face Egyptian side El Masry.
The Zambia Army sponsored side have the advantage of playing away in the first leg on the weekend of 9-11 February before playing the second leg in Lusaka over the weekend of 16-18 February.
The winner between the two will either face Tanzanian side Simba FC or Gendermerie Tnale of Djibouti in the first round games with the first leg games scheduled for 9-11 March while the second leg games will be played over the weekend of 16-18 March.
Nkana and Green Buffaloes finished in third and fourth place respectively in a tightly contested 2017 Zambian league season.

I Love all my Zambian teams.wish. You well
Zambia full force on the continent again…its taken loooong!!
The four representatives should prepare by playing the season opening Charity Shield; at least 2 wks b4 they meet CAF opponents. This should definitely give them the much needed match preparedness. Otherwise, and my gut feeling tells me, 2 of our eams may not make it out of the preliminaries!
Just because they are an Arab team you call it tricky draw. let’s change the mentality. Baffaloes go and relish this team its no match for you.
