Buckle up Napsa Stars and Forest Rangers …It will be a long season
Lusaka based soccer analyst, Gabriel Nkunika has said that it will be a long season for both Napsa Stars and Forest Rangers football club as it is the first time that both teams have qualified for continental football.
Speaking during an interview with ZamFoot Crew, Nkunika said both teams need to sign at least three to four more players in order to add more depth in their respective squads.
He said this after analyzing the new acquisition being done by the teams and has thus said that he expects nothing but the best to be done from both teams in the upcoming season.
“While it has been a busy transfer window for the likes of Napsa Stars, Lumwana, Kabwe Warriors and Zesco United some clubs are yet to announce any new signings including Green Eagles who will be playing in the Champions League. Last week Napsa Stars managed to get the services of Jacob Ngulube and Kenyan striker Timothy Otieno who will most likely help them in their Continental journey. It will be a long season for the likes of Napsa Stars and Forest Rangers since it’s the first time qualifying for continental football. They need to sign at least three to four players to add more depth in their respective squads,” Nkunika told the ZamFoot Crew.
Napsa stars last week signed “Kenyan hitman”, Timothy Otieno, and 25-year-old Jacob Ngulube both penning three-year contacts. The club has as well parted ways with former Konkola blades Striker Mathews Maleka who joined the club at the start of the 2017 season and Congolese Striker Mambole Assis who joined the Pensioners before the start of the 2019/2020 season.
“I would like to say a big thank you to the players that have left the club. We appreciate the time we spent with the team and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.” Greg Nsofu, Napsa Stars football club president said.
