Bruce Mwape names final squad for Olympics 

Copper Queens head coach Brice Mwape has named a final 22 member squad for the 2024 Paris Olympics. 

Defender Margaret Belemu, and  Midfielders Evarine Susan Katongo and Ireen Lungu miss out. 

Katongo is out due to an injury while Belemu and Lungu are victims of competition in the team. 

Chitete Munsaka has also been ruled out due to injury and replaced by Eunice Sakala on the final 22 member squad.

ZANACO’s Esther Muchinga, Buffaloes’ Diana Banda and Ochumba Oseke Lubanji have made the final squad. 

The team is set to travel to Paris, France On Saturday, 6th July for a pre-tournament camp. 

They are expected to play two international friendly matches while in Paris.

The Copper Queens opening match will be against United States on 25th July at the Nice Stadium before facing the Matildas of Australia in the penultimate match three days later. 

They will wrap up their group campaign with a tussle against arch-rivals Germany at the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium on 31 July.
