Gor Mahia arrive in Lusaka a couple of hours before kick-off
With just about two hours and 30 minutes before the kick off of the CAF Confederation Cup game between Napsa Stars and Gor Mahia, the Kenyan champions have arrived in Lusaka on a chartered Kenya Airways flight after they trip for the second leg of the pre-group stage qualifier was aborted on Friday.
Gor Mahia left Nairobi about 09h00 Zambian time and Napsa confirmed that their visitors requested that they are supported to fast-track all formalities ahead of the game including the mandatory Covid-19 tests.
“Gor Mahia have arrived in Lusaka. They left Nairobi aboard a chartered Kenya Airways flight at 10h00 Kenyan time and their flight duration was about 2hours 15minutes,” Napsa Stars head of communications Gwen Chipasula told the ZamFoot Crew.
“They requested that they find Covid-19 tests arranged for them on arrival and we will support them to have the tests done at the airport on arrival,” she added.
With the hospitality and sportsmanship already shown by the Zambian pensioners, the Kenyan side will make it for the game albeit the delay in arrival.
Napsa carry a 1 – 0 lead going into the second leg which will be played at the National Heroes Stadium, in Lusaka.
