Barbra Banda tips Queens Academy players
Copper Queens skipper Barbra Banda on Thursday took time off her busy schedule to visit Queens Academy in training and offer a motivational talk to the girls.
Banda who turns out for Chinese Taiping CFA Women’s League side Shanghai Shengli told the Queen’s players to be determined, maintain discipline and work hard if they want to go far in their careers.
“The key is discipline in everything you do. You also have to be very determined and work extra hard in this career if you want to succeed and go far,” she said.
“I’m am not different from you am just a player like you and hence you can do the same things I do on the pitch but you have to be determined, ” she added.
The Copper Queens skipper was invited by the club to talk with the players as a way of motivating them during their bad patch in the league.
The Kabwe based side is currently bottom of the table after recording back-to-back losses. Next for them is a home encounter against fellow strugglers ZISD Queens.
The players-led U-17 skipper Esther Siamfuko expressed happiness with the visit of Banda and assured the technical bench that they will work hard and start getting positive results starting from Saturday.
