AFCON QUALIFIER: Adrian Chama to captain Zambia against Zimbabwe

On loan Zesco United defender Adrian Chama will captain Zambia in tonight’s Cameroon 2021 African Cup of Nations against Zimbabwe, the ZamFoot Crew understands

With skipper Kabaso Chongo dropped to the bench and Nathan Sinkala left out of the match day squad, the 32 year old Mansa native will wear to armband against the warriors of Zimbabwe.

“Yes, it’s true Adrian will be the captain tonight,” a ZamFoot Crew insider in Harare said.

“Remember before the Algeria game, Kabaso and Nathan were the captains while Adrian was named as the third choice.

The ZamFoot Crew also understands that winger cum defender Lubambo Musonda will be Adrian’s vice captain with Enock Mwepu as the third choice.

Lubambo and Adrian made their international debut as substitutes in the 4-3 defeat to Japan in a pre-World Cup friendly match played in the USA.

Adrian’s young brother Clatous has also been named in the starting line up alongside his Simba FC teammate Rally Bwalya.

The Green Buffaloes defender is on loan at Zesco United.

He has been to three CHAN tournaments as well as one AFCON in 2015.

  1. Let’s ensure to select consistence players not on and off ones if we want to see the best side of our national team.our coach should also work on our porous defence.
