A 2012 Africa Cup winning camaraderie replayed itself in Luanda when Angola coach Patrice Beaumelle visited the Chipolopolo camp and reunited with his former players Kennedy Mweene and Joseph Musonda from the history making cast.
Mweene and Musonda are currently engaged goalkeeper coach and physical trainer respectively in the Zambia National Team.
The duo were part of the 2012 Africa Cup winning squad coached by Herve Renard with Beaumelle serving as assistant coach.
Beaumelle also heartedly singled out goalie Toaster Nsabata who he previously coached during his stint as Chipolopolo coach in 2014 before exiting the Zambian excursion.
Zambia faces Beaumelle’s Angola on Tuesday in a FIFA International Friendly with both teams using it to prepare for the Morocco 2025 AFCON.
