Eswatini coach happy with CHAN campaign
Eswatini Head Coach Kosta Papic Congratulated the Zambia National Soccer Team for qualifying to the CHAN 2020 Tournament and despite his team losing he was happy with there performance.
Papic was impressed with the resilience of his side coming from two goals down to draw 2-2.
“The second goal killed us obviously we tried our best to have a chance in the last minute of the match but we hit the Bar, unfortunately, we did not qualify for CHAN, I wish Zambia all the best in CHAN they have a good team though in the second half they did not play how the Coach Wanted,” he said.
“But Football is like that you give pressure to try to Score the goal to qualify but its not easy for country like Eswatini to come back after 2-0 and have a chance to win the game, am very proud of my boys we will see what the Country is going to say about this but we don’t have any regrets.”
Papic was also impressed with his team’s performance throughout the CHAN qualifiers having edged out teams like Malawi and Angola.
“Am not here to give any kind of advice to anybody we did fantastic Job in the CHAN qualifiers but we could not win this match but we Scored at least one goal which gave us hope in the future, so am very proud we took out Malawi and Angola but we Faced a Strong opponent Zambia but football is like that one day you succeed one day you don’t all we have to do in the upcoming qualifiers is to win the match,” he said.
Zambia is through to the 2020 CHAN Tournament after a 3-2 Win on Aggregate.
