Zambian forward Fashion Sakala Jnr needed 18 stitches after a bad collision during a Kingsā Cup round of 16 encounter on Tuesday evening.
Sakala suffered a head injury when he collided with Al Arabi Goalkeeper Basil Al Bahrani in the opening 10 minutes of the match.
The former Rangers forward was rushed to the hospital after the incident which resulted in him needing 18 stitches.
Al Bahrani who was also substituted went to check up on Fashion in the hospital as confirmed by the Chipata native.
Fashion told the club’s media that he is ok and is looking forward to this weekend’s match against Al Fateh.
Al Feiha won the match 1-0 to progress to the quarter finals thanks to a first half goal from Uruguayan Renzo Lopez Patron.
He is smiling with 18 stitches then all is well… Since we all know that Ivory coast might be too soon for him. We are confident in our local lads sp far so good.
