Zlatko disappointed by Barclays cup semi-final exit

Zesco United coach Zlatko Krympotic described their Barclays cup semi-final encounter  with Napsa Stars as a tough match. The Serbian believes his team was unlucky to lose on post match penalties.

“It’s normal iam very dissapointed but we were unlucky to lose on post match penalties but It was a tough game .The two teams did not create alot of chances,” he said

The defending champions were chasing an unprecedented sixth title having already won the competition five times.

Napsa stars acting head coach Linos Makwaza belives his boys deserved to win.

“Its a great feeling the boys worked hard and deserved the victory. We anticipated to finish the game in regulation time but we had worked on our endurance which paid dividends,” he said.

Napsa Stars will face Sensational Zanaco on 28th October at Heroes Stadium for a chance to win their second title with Zanaco chasing their first ever triumph in this competition.

Zlatako always unlucky the job is too big for Jim, all the high performers at the club last season look out of sorts and avarage this muzungo does not seam to have a plan he is taking the team backwards

  2. Why is Zesco still keeping this coach? Under him Team Ya Ziko is on the decline. By Zesco standards these results are unacceptable, Confenderation cup out, barclays cup out, what next?

  3. sly says:

Zesco is finished, thanks to the Serbian mentor. What a coach! He is breaking the records the wrong way.

  4. slim says:

Zesco aren’t such a bad team, other super league club
s have merely bolstered their teams and improved.

  5. Dynamite says:

And so are we with you Mr.Zlatko, its about time you walked! Zesco has been on the decline ever since you took over. Simple George Lwandamina did far much better than you meanwhile you are getting more money the George used to…your days are numbered. One sad thing I noticed during the shoot out was your lack of concern & participation in process of selecting players for the shoot out, instead you say alone like a stranger & yet you are in charge of the team!! Players need motivation what I say was not inspiring, Zesco as a team could not figure out who was going to take penalties while Napsa had it figured out already, there is more to it than meets the eye at Zesco I wouldn’t be surprised if you are sidelined
