Newly crowned MTN/FAZ Super League Champions Zesco United take on Nkana on Saturday afternoon at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the Barclays Cup final.
Going into the final, Zesco will be without head coach George Lwandamina who is in Cameroon attending a coach licence clinic. Lwandamina guarded his former team Red Arrows to the Barclays Cup success last season.
Form wise, Zesco will into the tie as favourites after they completed a league double on Nkana wining 3-0 and 1-0 in the reverse fixture. And in the last 15 meetings, ‘Team Ya Ziko’ is yet to suffer a defeat from the team from Wusakile.
Both sides are set to line up stellar names and it will be that battle between Nyambe Mulenga and ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba to look out for.
A win for Zesco will hand theme a league and cup double while Nkana will end the season trophy less bar the season opener, the Charity Shield.

Whoever is in charge of managing the pitch at Levy Mwanawasa stadium should be fired. We cant have a football pitch which is less than 5 years old look as if its a grazing field for cattle,GRZ should find the right people to manage these stadia coz its pointless to build more stadia when we can’t manage the few that we have.Otherwise, big ups to Zesco for a job well done hope they perform well in Caf competition next season
kikikikiki…..3-0!!!!
Congrats to zesco for winning the league and cup double.
