Zesco submit CAF Champions League squad
Zambian super league champions Zesco United have announced a strengthened provisional squad for the 2015 CAF Champions League.
Apart from local players Misheck Chaila, Humphrey Maseneko, Jonas Sakuwaha and Innocent Mwaba who has returned from a loan spell, Zesco has also raided the international market bringing in two Nigerian and a Kenyan international.
Nigerian left back Ayo Ouluwafemi, 26, joins Zesco as a free agent from University of Pretoria, David Odhiambo, 26 Central Defender from Gor Mahia Kenya, and 22 year old Striker Christopher Chigozie from Bayelsa United, Nigeria has also been enlisted by the club.
Kondwani Mtonga has also returned from a six month Loan at North East Club in India.
The club has since opened talks with Mamelodi Sundown’s to extend Togolese Mathias Emmanuel’s Loan deal.
Zesco has let go of Gift Sakuwaha, Kangwa Chileshe and Zimbabwean full back Zimiseleni Moyo’s who leaves the club after spending five years at Zesco.
The provision list sent to CAF for registration is as follows;

MIDFIELDERS: Misheck Chaila, Innocent Mwaba, John Chin’gandu, Maybin Mwaba, Mwelwa Mwape, Simon Silwimba, Clatous Chama, Justin Zulu, Matthews Nkhowani, Kondwani Mtonga
STRIKERS: Jackson Mwanza, Jonas Sakuwaha, Winston Kalengo, Humphrey Maseneko, Lazarous Kambole, Juma Liuzio, Christopher Chigozie
