Zesco go one point clear as Lusaka Dynamos beat Nchanga
Zesco United returned to local league action this afternoon and played to a goalless draw against Lumwana Radiants.
Coach George Lwandamina made four changes to the team that made easy work of Mbabane Swallows who they beat 3 – 0 over the weekend restoring back to the team the players that missed the flight to Eswatini.
Marcel Kalonda, Dave Daka, Enock Sabamukuma and Jesse Were started the match but were unable to replicate the Champions League spark that saw Lazarous Kambole score the fastest hat-trick in continental football.
The draw was good enough to see Zesco go one point clear at the summit of the log on 63 points with two games in hand.
Lumwana extended their winless streak to 7 games though they remain 6 points clear of the relegation waters.
In another game played in Lusaka, Emmanuel Habasimbi and Chris Mugalu scored a goal each as Lusaka Dynamos beat Nchanga Rangers 2 – 0 in a rescheduled week 13 fixture.
Dynamos made it back to back wins which has seen them move to 8th position on 45 points.
Brave Nchanga Rangers remain second from bottom.
