Zesco to face Mbabane Swallows, Etoile du Sahel in Champions League
Zambian Champions Zesco United have gotten a fair draw in the CAF Champions League group stage.
The Ndola side will face Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia, Angola’s Primero de Augusto and Swazi side Mbabane Swallows in Group D.
Mbabane Swallows dumped Zanaco out of the competition via a 3-1 aggregate.
While Zanaco were swallowed by the Swazi side via a 3-1 aggregate, Zesco United did it in style with 2-1 away win in Abidjan against the famous Asec Mimosas having lost 1-0 at home.
In Group B, Zambian interest will be on TP Mazembe.
Nathan Sinkala, Kabaso Chongo and Augustine Mulenga are all on the books of the Lubumbashi based side.
Botswana side Township Rollers will face Cairo giants Al Ahly and Esperance from Tunisia. The fourth side in Group A is Kampala City Council Authority.
Rounding up the groups is in Group C where defending Champions Wydad Casablanca will face Mamelodi Sundowns. The other two sides in the group are Horoya of Guinea and AS Togo Port Lome.
