Zesco, Buffaloes settling well on the continent
Zambian Champions Zesco United are away in Zanzibar while Green Buffaloes is in North Africa as the two sides start their continental games this weekend.
Zanaco will be home against Gambia’s Armed Forces at Nkoloma Stadium on Saturday at 15:00hrs central African time and have been fine tuning at Sunset Stadium.
Zambia Army sponsored side Green Buffaloes left the country on Tuesday for Egypt and arrived in the early hours of Wednesday.
The Bilton Musonda coached side are based in Port Said and will face Al Masry on Friday night in the CAF Confederations Cup.
The team had their first training session on Wednesday night and expected to have a feel of the turf at the match venue.
While Buffaloes has a tricky in North Africa, Zesco United should pick up a routine win on Saturday in East Africa.
Zega left the country on Wednesday and arrived in Zanzibar by noon.
The Tenant Chembo drilled side trained in the afternoon ahead of Saturday’s CAF Champions League tie against the minnows JKU SC.
