Zanaco finally win, as police lock-up Power Dynamos
Champions Zesco United were held to a goalless draw by relegation threatened Napsa Stars while Zanaco finally picked a win after three consecutive losses.
Napsa have become hard to beat since Mohamed Fathy took charge of the team but are not winning as many games.
They have played 8 games winning 2, drawing 5 and losing once. On Saturday afternoon, they held their own against champions Zesco to move to 22 points which leaves them 5 points from safety.
Zesco on the other hand remain comfortably on top 3 points clear on 62 points with two games in hand.
2017 runners up Zanaco put up a not so impressive performance against free falling Lumwana Radiants who have now lost their last 5 games thanks to a Chavda Maisha lone goal, his third of the season.
Elsewhere, George Kapembwa’s National Assembly continued their impressive run which has seen them not lose in their last 5 games when they collected a point off Kabwe Warriors in a goalless draw.
Assembly have now won 3 and drawn 2 of their last five games. They stand in 18th position on 29 points while Warriors are in 7th position on 44 points.
There is no looking back now for Green Eagles who seen to have their eyes set on continental football as their picked a 1 – 0 win away from home against Nakambala Leopards.
Tapson Kaseba scored the only goal of the match which moves the Choma side to 53 points.

Police sponsored Nkwazi picked maximum points off 5th placed Power Dynamos.
Larry Bwalya’s goal was not enough as Lottie Nyimbili and Chomba scored to Nkwazi halt a 2 game string of losses.
