Zanaco demolish Chipata City Council in a pre-season friendly
2017 Super league side Sensational Zanaco was in a ruthless form on Saturday, January 20th when they met Chipata City Council. The bankers who are in Chipata for a 10 day training camp thumped the lower league side by 7 goals to nil in their first of three friendlies they are expected to play while in Chipata.
New signings Maisha Chavda and Chitiya Mususu scored a brace each in the first half to put Zanaco four nil up at half time.
In the second half Taonga Bwembya, Kennedy Musonda and former Ajax Cape town player in Zimbabwean Tafidzwa Rusike scored a goal each to complete Zanaco’s massacre of the Council sponsored side.
Former Nkana Striker Guily Manziba played the first 53 minutes before being replaced by fellow new signing Chitoshi Mukuma.Another New signing in Souleymanou Mousa played the full ninety minutes while there was no action for Ghanian striker Benard Ofori.
The bankers alongside League Champions Zesco United are Zambia’s representatives in the CAF Champions league.
