Zanaco arrive in Morocco hoping for an upset

MTN Super League side Zanaco have arrived in North Africa ahead of the this Wednesday’s CAF Confederations Cup second leg tie against Raja Casablanca.

The seven times Zambian Champions started off for Morocco in the early hours of Sunday from Lusaka.

The Numba Mumamba tutored side are 2-0 down on aggregate  from the first leg.

Following a football mad week in Europe, which saw the big margins overturned, the bankers have every chance to believe.

While that loss to Raja was their third successive defeat in Africa, the Sunset Stadium outfit has been in rich vein of form in the local league.

The Ziyo Tembo captained side have recorded wins over Forest Rangers, Lusaka Dynamos and Nchanga Rangers and are yet to concede.

Despite playing two games less, the bankers have 12 points in the league.

Zanaco were relegated to CAF Confederations Cup after a disaster campaign in Champions League which saw them suffer back to back defeats to Swazi side Mbabane Swallows.
