Zambian legend Given Singuluma has left TP Mazembe after 8 years at the club.
Singuluma had a colourful career at the Congolese giants were he won every major trophy on the continent.
The 31 year old joined TP Mazembe in 2009 after helping Zambia to bronze at the inaugural CHAN tournament in Ivory coast.
Singuluma finished the tournament as a top scorer with five goals equaling the legendary Kalusha Bwalya’s five at the 1996 African Cup of Nations.
In the modern era, it’s only Kalusha and Singuluma with that goal tally at a senior major tournament.
Emmanuel Mayuka and Chris Katongo finished three goals apiece at the 2012 African Cup of Nations tournament.
The only other player to score five goals is Fwayo Tembo but that  was at the CAF 2007 African Youth Championship in Congo Brazaville. Singuluma and Kalusha again share another record of scoring a hat-trick at major tournament and both came in 2009 and 1996 respectively.
On club, Singuluma’s achievement is unrivalled after he won three CAF Champions League medals at TP Mazembe.
He has has three CAF Super Cups as well as three CAF Confederations Cup.
Singuluma also featured at the FIFA Club World Cup twice and played in that final against Rafa Benitez’s Inter Milan.
The former Chiparamba Youth Product also helped TP Mazembe to seven Congolese league titles.
Singuluma has played for National Assembly and Zanaco in Zambia and had unsuccessful spell at South African side Bay United.
He was part of Zambia’s 2010 and 2015 African Cup of Nations Squad.

Good work Singuluma. But ba Zamfoot CHAN goals can not equal goals scored in AFCON. The tournament is by far too inferior and not even recognised by FIFA so it’s miss leading to say he equalled Kalu ‘ s 5 goals as the goals Kalu scored where in an African biggest tornament whose level of competitiveness is not comparable to the CHAN where singuluma scored those goals. We can do well to drop the kalu goals comparison and just talk about singuluma ‘ achievement without dragging Kalu ‘ s achievements in comparison. Otherwise it’s a career well played, I hope players can learn from Given, especially that he was rejected by mpumalanga club in southafrica and no other club could sign him till he came back home and re launched his career which gave him an opportunity to be called to CHAN where he shined and attracted TP Mazembe where he went on to win trophies that south african clubs that rejected him can only dream of.

Sure Zamfoot, avoiding rating great kalu,with our ordinary singuluma,Kalu will always remain great.Singiluma has his own achievements and we are proud of him.But comparing him with great kalu,it’s like comparing this numba mumamba u20 with the great heroes who perished in gaborn..The gab is too huge.we wish singuluma well in his future endeavours

all that experience and player is not selected to be part of any of the just concluded crucial World Cup qualifiers?
There seems to be no logic on how Mbola, Singuluma, Kalaba, Fwayo, Sinkala can miss one of Zambias best chance to qualify for the World Cup. The lesson to Zambia is to use the experience you have. You don’t have that many Europe based players but you can make up for that by using the wealth of your African based talent.
