Zambia take-on African Champions in Spain
The Zambia national team will this evening play an international friendly against Cameroon in Madrid, Spain. Beston Chambeshi assembled a star studded squad which includes stars from Europe and other parts of the continent.

The most recent encounters when the two teams met in the World Cup qualifiers playing each other home and away both ended in draws.
Zambia were unfortunate to draw 2 – 2 in the last game the two teams played at Levy Stadium in Ndola after conceding in the 90th minute Yaya goal. This was after Patson Daka and Brian Mwila had scored had given Zambia the lead with Zamboa Anguisa scoring in between their goals.
The Chipolopolo jetted into Madrid on Saturday from Morocco where they have set up base for a series of international friendlies.
Coach Beston Chambeshi said, “We are looking forward to the three games ahead of us especially the first one. We are looking forward to how we will handle Cameroon.”
“We are looking forward to come with a strong team that can compete. We are happy because we have a pool of players to choose from and we need a good response from the team and put up a good fight.
Chembeshi has incorporated senior players with the U23 who will be playing Africa Cup qualifier match against Congo Brazzaville later this year. This match will be used to prepare the junior Chipolopolo.
The national team will play another friendly match against Gambia on Wednesday before concluding matters against Morocco on the 16th June.
