Zambia U20 friendly match against Botswana cancelled
The international friendly match between the Zambia Under-20 National Team and the junior Zebras of Botswana has been cancelled.
FAZ Communications Manager Desmond Katongo confirmed the development to FAZfootball.com saying the Botswana team failed to travel.
“The international friendly match that was scheduled for tomorrow (Sunday) has been cancelled as the Botswana team has failed to travel due to logistical challenges,” Katongo said.
The match was arranged as part of preparations for the Cosafa championship that kicks off on December 2 in Kitwe and Mufulira.
“All those who bought tickets will be refunded. We advise members of the public to collect their refunds from Web tickets at Omega Mall, Suite 4, Northmead,” Katongo said.
Zambia is in Group A alongside Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique and Malawi.
