Zambia & Namibia arrive in Casablanca ahead of top of the group clash
The Zambia national soccer team has arrived Casablanca where they will set up base ahead of the top of the table clash against neighbours Namibia on Monday.
The Zambian squad took a 2hr 30 min road trip from Marrakech to Casablanca, a distance of 240 Kms.
The Chipolopolo checked in at Novotel Hotel 1600hrs Zambian time and were scheduled for a recovery training this evening.
Namibia also made the same trip arriving in Casablanca an hour after Zambia and checked in at the Golden Tulip Fatah.
The two Cosafa teams have recorded two wins apiece to books places in the quarter finals of the tournament.
While the Chipolopolo went in with ‘one of the favorites’ tag, the Warriors have punched above their weight and have earned the ‘giant killer’ tag after overcoming Ivory Coast and Uganda with late goals in both games.
The two teams meet at the King Mohammed V Stadium on Monday to determine the group winners who will face either the host nation Morocco or Sudan.
