Zambia hit 3 past Swaziland…As Wada’s men set up a clash against Bafana
Zambia produced a mature and vintage performance in the second leg of Kenya 2017 CHAN qualifier at Lusaka’s Heroes Stadium.
First half goals from red hot duo Justin Shonga and Brian Mwila plus a rare goal from Simon Silwimba earned Zambia a 3-0 win and 7-0 aggregate.
Making his return to the starting line up,Justin Shonga wasted no time to announce his presence by scoring as early as the third minute by clevering pouncing on a loosely cleared ball.
The home side allowed the Swaziland national team to settle down but the Ziyo Tembo ,Isaac Shamujopa partnership proved too hard to crack.
In midfield Lusaka Dynamos captain Clatus Chota Chama got involved in the 20th minutes build up but easily lost possession but lucky for him ,the ever dependable Kondwani Mtonga was up to the resuce.
Zanaco speedy winger Augstine Mulenga proved to be a thorn in the Swazi defence and managed to find Shonga who howver failed to convert one two numerous chances.
Zambia Coach Wedson Nyirenda then made a tactical change by taking off Chama who showed displeasure by deciding to take an early shower all to be spotted in the stands in the second half.
Tripple C’s replacement John Chingandu’s presence immediately resulted in the 39th minute goal by Brian Mwila.
The Green Buffaloes man has now scored 5 goals in his last 6 international game.
Zambia seemed to have climaxed and continued seeking the third goal but the Swazi defence however had woken up this time and seemd to deny the Chipolopolo third goal all to be caught napping once again by a powerful shot this time by Simon Silwimba in the dying minutes of the second half.
Zesco United midfielder Kondwani Mtonga commanded play in the midfield .
However the first half runs seemed not to be the mode of the second off and Swazi land had their best chance of the day all to be shot wide with the lines man having raised his flag for offside.
Swaziland then made a forced substitution in the 66th minute as Nkosingphile Tsabedze came on for injured Wonder Nhleko.
Nyirenda who was out to entertain the fans then brought on Martin Phiri in the 76th minute and Deav Daka on the 81th minute and with hardly enjoying the feel of the ball referee Joao Amado blew at stoppage time.
