Zambia to face Namibia without Ng’onga and Ngwenya

Zambia national team will once again be without the services of Striker Alex Ng’onga who suffered a muscle sprain during Zambia’s opening group B match against Uganda.Midfielder Godfrey Ngwenya who is yet to kick a ball at the tournament is also ruled out of the Namibia showdown as he is yet to recover from a Knee injury.

Ng’onga and Ngwenya are the only two players with injury concerns ahead of Namibia account as the team doctor as declared the rest of the players fit to play.

Mwila Lupashi who is the national team doctor told FAZfootball.com that the technical bench is hoping they two will recover in good time for the quarter finals.

“The other two players (Ng’onga and Ngwenya) that have been on the sidelines are still recovering and we will not consider them in the match against Namibia tomorrow,” he said.

“We probably hope that during the week they would have fully recovered and return to full training.”

Zambia and Namibia have both already qualified for the quarter final stage and will be battling for top spot . The Match will be played at the King Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca at 21:00hrs Zambian time on Monday, January 22nd.
