Zambia drop on FIFA ladder
The Zambia national team dropped five places on the FIFA/Coca-Cola world rankings to rank 82nd in the world.
This is Zambia’s worst ranking this year.
According to the statistics released by FIFA on Thursday, Zambia is now ranked 17th in Africa.
The Chipolopolo only played one match in November which they lost to Mozambique to miss out on qualification for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
On the other hand, Mozambique greatly benefited from their win against Zambia as they were on of the biggest climbers in the world moving up five places together with Angola (125th, up 5), Sudan (127th, up 8), Comoros (143rd, up 5) and Gambia (166th, up 7).
