Week 36 preview : Race for title and survival reach crucial point

The 2017 MTN/FAZ super league Champions may be known today as week 36 comes alive with Zesco United needing just a win claim their sixth title but both Green Buffaloes and Zanaco will have to atleast draw or lose their matches to instantly crown Zesco United as the Champions .

The 2015 Champions play host to Honor Janza’s Red Arrows who have not been impressive of late losing their last two games back to back.

Chembo seems to have rejuvenated the fortunes at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, Since Krympotic’s leave Zesco United have taken over the leadership and control of the league.

The resurgence of Striker Lazarous Kambole has also helped United’s cause. Red Arrows have in the past been known to be spoilers and Zesco should not take their challenge lightly as they might regret

Second placed Sensational Zanaco host Nkwazi at Sunset . Sensational know that they need to win to keep their hopes of a double alive. Nkwazi has not been so impressive of late especially after losing Justin Shonga and the fact that U20 star Lameck Banda may miss the game as he is in camp with the U20 National team.

Numba Mumamba and his boys need a victory innorder to stay in the race as a loss or draw will eliminate them from the equation completely.

The other side that is very relevant to Zesco United’s chase for a sixth title is third placed Green Buffaloes who host Forest Rangers at Nkoloma Stadium at 15:00hrs Today. Just like Zanaco Bilton Musonda’s team need to win Today in order to atleast delay Zesco United’s coronation.

Twelve time record Champions Nkana’s title chances are very slim.Nkana host Green Eagles who visit Wusakile with former Nkana boss Aggrey Chiyangi as the man incharge.

Eagles are still not safe from relegation and need to pick up maximum points in order to mobe closer to safety but Chilata has never been an easy place to visit especially that continental football is at stake.

In Chingola, Nchanga Rangers host Mufurila wanderers in what many feel to be the match of the day. Rangers led Ghanaian striker Zikiru Adams need a win to revamp their survival chances.

A win for Mighty Mufurila wanderers today will take them further away from the drop and closer to safety hence it’s all to fight for today.
