Nyirenda said, what happened to the U-20 forward happens in football and it is part of the game.
Sakala was in the second half of the clash shone a second yellow card, hence sent for an early shower. The first yellow, was for arguing with match officials and the latter for a reckless challenge.
Nyirenda, who was on cloud nine after breaking Zambia’s jinx against Algeria since 1982, did not slam the match officials as expected.
“The boy did what he was supposed to do. It was unfortunate that he was sent off. I am not disappointed, we have to encourage him because this was his first game,” Nyirenda told th ZamFoot Crew after the game.
Sakala who plays for Russian side Spartak Moscow was given marching orders in the 55th minute of the game for a second bookable offence.
