Wedson Nyirenda to attack against Algeria
Chipolopolo Boys Wedson Nyirenda is set to name an attacking side in Saturday’s Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier against Algeria at Heroes Stadium.
With Nigeria thrashing African Champions Cameroon 4-0 to go 9 points, there’s pressure on both Zambia and Algeria to collect maximum points.
The ZamFoot Crew understands that Patson Daka is expected to partner Brian Mwila upfront while Chisamba Lungu and Fashion Sakala on the flanks.
There’s also a possibility of Augustine Mulenga starting on the right wing to allow Chisamba in the hole or as no.8.
If that doesn’t happen then either Donashamo Malama, Enock Mwepu or Misheck Chaila will partner veteran Kondwani Mtonga in the middle of the pack.
Going forward, it seems like the rebuilding process has started but at the end, Zambia needs a major overhaul.
Ziyo Tembo, Fackson Kampumbu and Simon Silwimba will join Stopilla Sunzu at the back with captain Kennedy Mweene in goal.
Nigeria lead the group on 9 points with Cameroun on 2 while Zambia and Algeria are both on one point each.
