We can also score two goals in eSwatini – Young Buffaloes coach
YOUNG Buffaloes of Eswatini Coach Dominic Kunene is optimistic they can as well strike twice to level the scores on aggregate when they square off with Green Eagles in the return leg of the 2018-19 Total CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round at home.
The eSwatini side’s coach said in a post match interview that if their opponents were able to score twice, nothing can stop them from doing the same in the 2nd leg at their fortress.
Zambia’s Green Eagles put Young Buffaloes to the sword 2-0 – thanks to second half goals from Edward Mwamba and Jonathan Manongo.
Mwamba drew first blood in the 60th minutes and Manango put the final nail in the coffin, in the 90+7 optional time.
Speaking to press after the loss Kunene said things didn’t go according to plan since they had planned not to concede.
“You know in football we plan, but when your plans are not successful you don’t sit back. So we tend to go back to plan and if these guys managed to score two at home, what can stop us from scoring two,” he said.
And Green Eagles coach Aggrey Chiyangi said it was a good thing that they got an insight of how Young Buffaloes play. He added that it will help them to plan impeccably ahead of the return leg in eSwatini.
The two teams meet for the return leg next week.
