  1. The young lad really looks to have the stamina of a striker. let him prove himself. Its good to start involving young ones at that level if they prove themselves.

  2. THE GAME IN UYO AT THE MAGNIFICENT GODSWILL AKPABIO INTERNATIONAL STADIUM IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS IS A MUST WIN GAME FOR ZAMBIA BUT JUST AS MUCH AS WE CALL IT A MUST WIN MATCH FOR US,THE NIGERIANS ALSO ARE CALLING IT A MUST WIN KNOWING VERY WELL THAT A WIN AGAINST ZAMBIA BOOKS THEM A TICKET TO RUSSIA 2018.NOW THE BONE OF CONTENTION IS:DO WE NEED TO GAMBLE AND EXPERIMENT AT THIS STAGE?
DO WE HAVE TO THINK OF REBUILDING THE TIME AT THIS CRUCIAL HOUR?
I DONT THINK SO? YES WE APPRECIATE THE DISCOVERY OF NEW TALENT NOW WHICH CAN BE USED IN THE FOURTH COMING AFRICA CUP QUALIFIERS.FOR NOW I THINK IT WOULD BE VERY WISE OF THE COACH TO LOOK AROUND HIMSELF AND PICK FROM THE ALREADY EXISTING AND EXPERIENCED PLAYERS LIKE FWAYO TEMBO,CLETUS CHAMA ETC CONSIDERING THE LITTLE TIME LEFT TO START JELLYING PLAYERS.OF COURSE THERE HAS BEEN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HIMSELF AS COACH AND CERTAIN PLAYERS BUT IF JESUS CHRIST FORGAVE OUR SINS,WHY CANT THE SO CALLED WADA FIND IT IN HIS HEART TO FORGIVE THESE PLAYERS AND PUT THE INTEREST OF THE NATION FIRST.QUALIFICATION IS CARDINAL AT THIS STAGE,HE SHOULD PUT ASIDE HIS PRIDE AND AIM TO QUALIFY THE TEAM TO ITS FIRST EVER WORLD CUP! PERSONALLY AS A TAX PAYER,IT REALLY HURTS TO SEE PEOPLE WATCH SOMEONE MAKE HIS PERSONAL DECISIONS BASED ON HATE AND LEADING TO DISTRUCTION.PEOPLE WILL ONLY TALK AFTER A BAD RESULT IS RECORDED IN NIGERIA.BEATING ALGERIA HOME AND AWAY IS NO REASON FOR ONE TO GROW BIG HEADED BECAUSE EVERY GAME IS DIFFERENT AND THE NIGERIA GAME IS NOT GOING TO BE EASY AT ALL.WE THEREFORE NEED TO ASSEMBLE THE STRONGEST POSSIBLE SQUAD! WE NEED THE UNDER 20’S AND PLAYERS THAT ARE EXPERIENCED AND NOT EASILY INTIMIDATED BY THE CROWDS AND BIG NAMES.I THEREFORE URGE THIS COACH TO INCLUDE PLAYERS LIKE NATHAN SINKALA,KABASO CHONGO,COLLINS MBESUMA,RAINFOLD KALABA,FWAYO TEMBO AND CLETUS CHAMA TO JOIN THE OTHER GUYS THAT WHERE IN CAMP DURING THE ALGERIA GAME.UNDER 20’S LIKE FASHION SAKALA,PATSON DAKA,ENOCK MWEPU SHOULD ALSO REMAIN IN THE SQUAD.PLEASE ZAMFOOT LET THIS ZAMBIAN COACH SEE MY POST BECAUSE IF HE DOESNT THEN IT IS POINTLESS TO COMMENT ON THIS FORUM.
THANKS AND HOPING FOR A BETTER SELECTION AND ITS NEVER TOO LATE TO FORGIVE AND BRING IN THE PLAYERS I HAVE MENTIONED.

    • I think that’s a very harsh conclusion to suggest that Wada’s decision not to include some players is based on hate. Wada, just like any other coach is paid to do a job. Part of the job is to make very cardinal decisions some of which might not be popular with fans immediately. If it is his view that certain players are undermining his authority and are a distraction in the dressing room then he is fully entitled to act upon that. No player is bigger than the team. Do players deserve a second chance? Of course they do. But that doesn’t mean they have a devine right to walk straight into the team. We won Afcon not because we had the most talented players on the continent but because HR made discipline a huge part of his philosophy. Wada may have made some questionable decisions in the past selections but it doesn’t help trying to tolerate devisive elements just because of reputation. I personally don’t buy into the ill-advised view that Wada hates anyone.

    • my bro,you are not the coach leave him alone and you will comment after the results……ours is to support the team picked…fwayo can cost wada bcoz he can play bad and get a red card**

  3. I would rather we lose with a youthful, workaholic, energetic and fearless team than bringing back under-performing, bench warming, lazy, obsolete, undisciplined, goal-shy, boastful, Big-headed and Retirement bound players. There is need to prove these players that Zambia is greater than individuals, there is need for obedience and unity. But if a fraction of the team think they are indispensable, then there is no need to keep them, let them go. We need players that will be patriotic and be willing to be a good representation for us all. Let the technical staff do their mandate without interference. If they fail to deliver as per contractual objectives, then fire them. But then let the coach make decisions that fit his game plan. Let us stop living on names and past glory. Players should and must be picked on merit. we are tired of playing names. We need discipline and players that will listen to instructions from the coach regardless of how low he gets paid compared to the players in their respective clubs. We need to get rid of bad eggs before they affect the budding talents. Thank you

  4. @David chawinga-u have a point to wat u saying. The Nigeria game in uyo won’t be easy and no need for experiments. It’s a do or die situation. Win=big chance to go to Russia. And a lose means we start looking at 2022 World Cup. So the thing wada is, are we going to be just looking at the next world cups? Like we lost the chance in Ghana last time? No!!!!!!! Enough is enough. We have a chance wada. You and the boys make us proud. IT’S OUR TIME!!!

  5. kufulungana uko wayamba iwe fwayo chama kalaba too much amachick those are finished players we want to rebuid the new team mudala nga lupwa lobe tatulebafwaya we hav tired to use tired legs

  6. Wada please include Kalaba in your squad, arguably Zambia”s most talented….after all it’s a do or die match. Kalaba is one player who is capable of tearing the nigeria n defence to shreds

  7. Did I miss something? The writer shares a story of the inclusion of a player from Nkwazi and mentions no name of that player both in the heading and body except by some pronouns of some sort! Wow! Only because I went to school I guessed the Nkwazi player on the list must be that player!

  8. Wada please call kalaba is one of the players who can contribute to the national team. Wada as the coach you shouldn’t have a personal vendetta with your players. Nigeria game is cardinal for zambia to win.

  9. It is pointless commenting here on team selection but the players Wada needs to execute the UYO Mission are well known. The coach needs to address the players one on one and tell them how important it is and why he is selecting them. He needs to engage help from other areas…psychologists, mentors and take Chris Katongo as part of your mentor team. Leave no stone unturned Wada but please take players on merit. You will have time to groom players after this campaign to Russia 2018 Is done whether or not the team is World Cup bound.

  10. Eish, can’t believe people like Fwayo are still being mentioned. The team has done well without triple C and Fwayo or even Kalaba, much to my surprise. Wadda has made some tough decisions and if he pulls it off in Uyo I will gladly take another slice of humble pie, and wash it down with a I was so wrong lager and follow it with crow for dessert.

  11. It has being a puzzle for me, on how we leave out our heroes, when we are engaging in big games. Kalu, Katongo, even Charly senior should be called in to give mental support to the boys. Even if you are going to leave out kalaba, but bring him along for the same!

  12. Mwe bantu the inclusion of this Nkwazi boy (whose name has been ommitted from the the story for reasons best known to Zamfoot) does not mean that he is gonna walk straight into the first eleven. He is only being given some exposure to wane off some butterflies should he be given chance in coming assignments.I guess his name is lameck Banda since he is the only Nkwazi player i can see on the list(c’mon ba zamfoot). And on those calling for fwayo, CCC & Kalaba, please spare us the misery of indiscipline in the team, i think it is better to lose with disciplined players than having those that think they are bigger than Zambia.

  13. @Godwins this boy may be 16Yrs for sure. If Diego Costa tells you he is 28yrs you believe. Lukaku 24, 2 yrs older than Hazard whois 26yrs. If Ronnie tomorrow works up and says he is 25. Africans we will believe. Mbesuma had a huge frame and people thought he was older but he has played soccer til now. Guys who said were his Tso Vlakhazi, Sandlie Ndhlovu,…. all the guys he played with at Chiefs were are they? He is the only guy to have been going strong despite his size.

  14. Zambia needs experience to beat Nigeria. When the chips are, that’s what counts. It will be very difficult to achieve anything in Uyo with those school boys. Remember, Nigeria is not Algeria. In fact, the latter is weakest in that group while the former is the strongest. So we should treat them differently.

  15. whatever the case – we need mbesuma.otheriwse the only option we have in front of goal is alex ngonga and we all know what happened in algeria. I didnt know kalaba had disciplinary issues. as for fwayo we just have to forget about him.

  16. I am 100% fine with the selection made by the coach. This guys are still very young and flexible for crying out loud. The coach knows exactly what he’s doing and also aware how important the match is. Let see what happen after the 90minutes.
