Vintage Zanaco dispatch off Gambian side

Zanaco produced a vintage away performance in the second leg of CAF Champions League after a 3-1 defeat of Gambian Armed Forces in Banjul on Saturday night to send the bankers to the next round via a 6-1 aggregate.

Zanaco made two changes to the starting line up from the home tie with Taonga Bwembya and Felix Nyainde replacing Jimmy Nakena and Maisha Chavda respectively.

The Zambian side got their breakthrough in the 17th minute after Nyainde teed off Ernest Mbewe as Altezza scored to make it 4-0 on aggregate.

The home side equalised five minutes before the break through Satta Sennel.

With match heading for a draw, coach Numba brought on Didi kitumbo, Isaac Chansa and Guily Manziba for Tafadzwa Rusike and Mbewe to refresh up things.

And the substitutions paid off as the bankers g Zrabbed two late goals with Martin Phiri making in 2-1 before veteran defender George Chilufya increased the tally.
