TRANSITIONAL LEAGUE TITLE DECIDER CLOSE AT HAND
As Buildcon and ZANACO play a Build Up
The deciding game of the Transitional Zambia Super League title is close at hand as the Football Association of Zambia set 8th June as the Coronation day.
Green Eagles face up with ZESCO United at National Heroes Stadium to decide the winner of the Transitional Season while Buildcon and ZANACO will battle it out for third and fourth as a curtain raiser on 8th June 2019.
ZESCO UNITED VS GREEN EAGLES
Look out for the final were ZESCO United enjoys firm against Green Eagles in the last 16 games, winning nine and only losing three in that period. Green Eagles has only managed to beat ZESCO United three times in 16 attempts.
The latest Green Eagles win against ZESCO United was in 2018 and this was a big one at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. Before that you will have to go back to 2014 and 2008 for the other two wins the Choma outfit enjoyed against ZESCO United.
Green Eagles feel they have levelled the supremacy on the pitch and the two teams with air tickets to CAF Champions League will definitely give fans a real deal for their money.
ZANACO VS BUILDCON
The third and Fourth play off will involve the two year old team in the Super League with CAF Confederation Cup ticket taking on probably the second best team in the league to ZESCO United in the last 20 years in ZANACO.
This is a real test for Buildcon who are already celebrating the ticket into CAF but they will have to do something they have not done since their introduction into the super league. That is beating ZANACO.
The only thing they have achieved against ZANACO is getting two points from the two draws they have gotten from four games. A 1-1 draw in 2017 and a 0-0 draw in 2018 is all Buildcon counts when it comes to playing Sensational. The other two wins were grabbed by ZANACO.
Buildcon though will think this is the best time for them to get that very important win against ZANACO.
Winners of the Super League will walk away with K500, 000 while the runners up will get K350, 000.
All the teams in the Super League are entitled to K200, 000 under the revised deal that upped the package from K7, 000.
Another reason to be in Lusaka and enjoy the best of Zambian Club Football.
