Transfer Talk: Fwayo Goes Missing

An insider at the Arthur Davies training ground reports that Power Dynamos’ leading scorer, Fwayo Tembo, has gone missing since training on Tuesday afternoon and will not be included in this week’s team to play Lumwana Radiants tomorrow afternoon.

Early indications are that the attacker traveled to Solwezi and later caught a flight to South Africa amid interest from PSL side Polokwane City.

Other indications suggest that the player also has a substantial offer from a yet to be named Swedish club and that Polokwane could just be a brief stop before he connects to Europe to seek out this lucrative offer.

Fwayo is now the second player in two weeks to go absent without official leave after Julius Situmbeko disappeared from training after 29th June 2017 and has been known to be searching for a new club to play for after repeatedly failing to cement a first team place at Power Dynamos.

What is this happening at Arther Davis Stadium?

  2. Ngake says:

Power Dynamos / Nkana / Mufulira Wanderers / Zanaco are all proving to be visionless in their management styles which is why they are failing to retain or capture the best players. The new breed of club with a vision – Lusaka Dynamos / Buildcon / Zesco will all soon overtake these teams in popularity. All it takes is for the best talent in country to turn their backs on the old clubs and prefer the new breed. By new breed i do not mean in age but a club that does things differently and in line with global trends and not the traditional Zambian club management mentality. Human beings generally always migrate to success and shun failure (Darwin theory of natural selection). This is a good thing being learnt the hardway by the old style club managers. Fwayo he is head and shoulders above any other player at power right now.

  3. Logic says:

It seems to me like this man cannot function outside of a 1km radius of mutendere. His behavior is very unprofessional and much as we want to wish him all the best, we have seen this story repeat itself over and over again in Fwayo’s career. I would say he needs to learn to follow procedure and learn to do things the right way but I know its much too late for this old dog to learn any new tricks…

  4. Old dog to learn new trick thats a good one kiki.. Fwayo’s career will soon come to end if he continues to be unprofessional, surely how do you leave just like that.

No player is bigger than Power Dynamos!

  6. Positive thinking says:

Logic, what you’re saying is so true. Talent will also only take you so far. Professionalism, discipline, and attitude can make or break a career. Ask guys like Adriano from Brazil or even Emmanuel Zulu.

I’m washing my hands of this guy. And those who call for his inclusion mu national team; nah.

  7. Seen from Afar says:

Yes, Fwayo could have been Christpher Katongo’s replacement. But now considering he cant sit tight anywhere it should be byebye.

Of course he is a great talent but clearly, very clerly, we are better investing our time elsewhere.

  8. Don says:
