Senegal have never won a major continental title at any level  while Zambia will be looking to add to the 2012 African Cup of Nations trophy on Sunday night at Lusaka’s Heroes Stadium.

Zambia Under-20 coach Beston ‘Quicksilver’ Chambeshi is set to name unchanged line up from the one which started in the semi final against South Africa.

The ZamFoot Crew understand that Chambeshi will might Portuguese based midfielder Emmanuel ‘The Maestro’ Banda Jnr a starting berth though there’s a slight chance that Kenneth Kalunga might just get the nod ahead of him.

The rest of the team are untouchables with Patson ‘Papa’ Daka, Fashion’Mr Fashion’  Sakala and Edward ‘Tiger’ Chilufya all set to earn starts upfront.

Boyd ‘The Tanker’ Musonda and Enock ‘Computer’ Mwepu in central midfield, and should Banda Jnr start then it will be interesting to watch how Mwepu and him swap positions on the pitch when things don’t go to well for Zambia.

Whenever Zambia is experiencing a bad spell on the pitch, coach Chambeshi normally switches Mwepu and Banda position.  There are games when Mwepu has been ineffective as no.10 and that allows him to drop to no.8 while Banda pushes further up the pitch.

In defence, Chambeshi will keep his faith in Shemmy Mayembe, Prosper Chiluya, Moses Nyondo and Solomon ‘Skippo’ Sakala.

Can the young guns emulate the class of 2012?

Zambia Probable XI: 1. Mangani Banda – 13. Shemmy Mayembe 2. Moses Nyondo 5. Moses Nyondo 3. Prosper Chiluya – 11. Enock ‘Computer’ Mwepu, 21. Boyd Musonda, 12. Emmanuel Banda Jnr – 10. Fashion Sakala, 20. Patson Daka 14. Edward Chilufya

  1. never change a winning team as long as da team is winning I dnt see a reason y da coach shud make a change. I remember in 1988 soul olympics some Zambian players complained after doing so well in previous games & da coach changed da tactics in da nxt game against German & dat costed us & we lost 4-0. Let Chambeshi use da same team same tactics it has worked b4 & it’ll work again. Dnt experiment in da finals NO! Let’s go Zambia, let’s go! 2-0 in favour of Zambia

  2. The somersault shot of the 2012 players is my favourite of all. The wider angle of this shot showed more of the players doing the somersaults in an impressive way! Awesome celebration! Then, that green and orange jersey looks lovely to my eyes. Great colour combination! i miss it!

  3. Luchanga failed 2 perform in da 1st game so why risk him in da final, abena zambia wen u loose u wil be blaming quick silver @ iyo why did he play luchanga wh neva use 2 play in all dis games?? Let him play da winning team coz the’ve got a better understanding on each other
Best wishes chipolopolo!!! Go zambia go

  4. How long before this game starts? My links are not working, we had to move the clocks back an hour at 2am this side for daylight saving crap. Anyone with reliable links?

  5. Get the ball now Zambia. Senegal with clear chance but they miss it passing it straight to Mangni Band.Player wanted to put it in the corner, that’s a serious miss. Senegal have show they are competitive. Come on Zambia, now you start turning the screw. Zambia with a free kick.

  6. Someone help me, was Heston Chambeshi playing as one of the over aged players for Zambia at the 1988 Olympics? I am saying this because if he is 56 years old now then he was 27 in 1988.

    • There was no age limit for at the time. So Zambia and all the other football teams that qualified for the Olympics 1988 took their senior team. After Zambia beat Italy, they downplayed the loss and the Europeans insistently regressed the importance of the competition and they put an age limit to it in the 1992 Olympics.

  7. These monkeys from West Africa are embarrassing the whole Africa, what is this nonsense Juju stuff they keep doing. This should not be allowed, thats just BS.

  8. Afriaca, young Senegalese using charms. Refere brandishes yellow to the peprpetrator. Boy should be arrested after the match.

  9. WAS IT AN AFRICAN VODOO THAT THE SENEGALESE THREW IT
IN THE ZAMBIAN POST OR SUMTIN ? WHEN AFRICA _ WHEN IS AFRICANS GOING TO BE STOPPED FROM THESE SILLY THINGS ?

    • The thing is Senegal were predicted winners by a dead Man We told you Kwame why did you give them juju……. You could have told them Zambia are Champions.

  10. Juju is same as using a bible pa bench.
Zambia won Africa cup while singing gospel songs shooting penalties. That was worse episode in foofball. Referee was stupid not to give them all red cards.

  11. Referee endS his career. Cant give red card to a boy who threw Daka to tghe ground. What you are seeing is how Collins Mbesuma was bullied at Portsmouth by SALIF DIAO. I saw it with my eyes, by body language, KINEMATICS AND ALL, Harry Rednapp was stopped from giving Mbesuma a chance TO COME ON INSTEAD Diao came on.

  12. Itnis funny that West African still believe in juju. That player who was instructed to remove a cloth strip from his wrist clearly transfered what is held under the wristband he wore. Funny. How do they fail to learn from a man as powerful as TB Joshua( One of their own)?

  13. Those are the real obstacles with seeking European careers. But am sure you can be protected by the ref. Am very Happy with Patson Daka, he stood up and went for it again. Zambia! Champions!

  14. I HAVE ALREADY RESCIND MY DESCISION
THAT THE CUP IS GOING TO WEST AFRICA.

BECAUSE OF THAT SILLY VODOO THE SENEGALESE THREW IT IN THE ZAMBIAN POST

ANYWAY_ END OF THE GAME THE YOUNG CHIPOS 2
    SENEGAL O

    • That was BS. That nonsense has to stop, can you imagine the whole world watching that crap? Good for the ref to put a stop to that crap. I hate sh!t like that and should not be condoned at all costs.

      • That Boy should go for plastic surgery to remove juju from his brain and face coz he looks like some one who enjoys sleeping in the grave yard….. there was no grave to welcome him in Zambia….. @Tc Soccerman forget about that ghost.

  15. Go home to Dakar Losers. I would feel bad for Senagal but their mind game nonsense during the game throwing crap makes me happy that they have beaten. Useless team, they better not do that crap in South Korea.

  16. BaZambia you can now judge the boys against their peers. Didnt you utter words like ‘Daka is a plank’? I dont know what you meant but I could tell you meant he was not a good footballer. I think Ba-George and others who were insulted for playing their role in nurturing him/Daka deserve an apology for the insults they insured for selecting this boy to the National teams. Be humble and apologise while you are still happy.

    • I am one the people that criticized one of the coaches that said Papa was as good as Malaza, at the moment, I thought they were hyping the boy for no reason and there was nothing against Patson in that regard, I just thought it was far too stretched at the moment to put Patson in the same sentence with the likes of Malaza or Chitalu, but after watching the Guinea game and his leathal finish, I came here and I said, the kid is good and deserves credit. And I said I took back my words. So there you have for the record.

  17. Congraturations! 2 young Chipolopolo 4 winning da cup South Korea here we come. Zambia the champions of africa under 20!

  18. Kudos to the boys, Kudos to the Coach, he’s a good one for the job. Kudos to Kamanga for the great preps given to the team before the tournament, kudos to the supporters that showed up in huge numbers to support the young boys. Great organization by the committee and Faz. Kudos to Kalu and his influence in bringing the tournament to Zambia. Issa Hayatou is an !diot for taking the next three AFCON to francophone countries.

  19. Welldone Mwebana besu I for one don’t like Issa Hayatou the Man is frail he can’t even walk nicely but he clings to power the Mugabe of African football ,,,, He needs to go and pave way for Young Administrators aweeeeeee!!!!!!

    • I agree @truth. The man is worthless if you asked me. Very biased towards English speaking countries. Anyone not having an issue with AFCON 2019 Cameroon, 2021 Ivory coast, 2023 Guinea? That’s just absurd. There’s need to be balance, Africa is not made up of francophone countries only. But that’s typical of Cameroon people, most are worthless pieces of Sh** as far as I am concerned. I never like them.

      • WHEN IS THE -SOCCERMAN GOING TO SLEEP?

IN EUROPE TIME IS 21.3O__WELL MAY BE
THE SOCCERMAN IS LIVING IN NORTH AMERICA

        • Kwame I live on the other side of the pond, so you guys sleeping, we are awake here and you are awake we go to sleep.

  20. The photographer who captures those flying moments is really good at his job. We hope he will travel with the team for the under 20 tourney
