It’s our time to bank Barclays cup – Chilufya
Sensational Zanaco will on Saturday go head to head with the 2012 Barclays cup in this years final to decide who walk away with the K350 000 prize money. Assistant coach Dabid Chilufya told members of the press on Thursday at a pre-match press conference that the team is not under in form pressure despite not winning it even once during it’s 11 years of running.
” Zanaco is a big team so their is no pressure on us. Pressure is the one that can make you lose a game. We have talked to our players in the last one or two weeks and I believe their no pressure now,” he said
“It’s a very important trophy to us, It’s is something that has eluded us but I believe we will be the first time for us to bank it”.
The national team Assitant coach believes a double is very realistic for the defending champions of the MTN/FAZ super league.
” Anything is possible. We are playing a good team in Napsa Stars and they are not a push over. They have their own weakness same as us but we will do our application on the pitch. We will get the Barclays and then focus on the league,” he said.
Team captain Ziyo Tembo believes this is the right time for the banks to add a Barclays cup to their trophy cabinet.
“I think this is the right time for us to win it. We have been working very hard and we have e talked about it with the guys, It’s a chance to write our names on the Barclays cup,” he said
The final will take place on saturday at the national heroes stadium. The winner will pocket K350 000 with the runners up taking K180 000.
