In the quarter finals Zambia beat Egypt 3 – 1 to qualify to the semi-finals.
Zambia lost 4 – 2 to Tunisia to settle for 3rd place after beating Ghana 1- 0 in the third and fourth place play-off.
With Johnson Bwalya, Mwape Miti, Joel Bwalya, Davies Phiri, Aggrey Chiyangi all coming off the bench, Zambia Roald Poulsen looked like he had assembled a team to concur Africa but something went wrong in the semi-final….
