The goal should have stood but you can banned talking about referees: Fathi
Napsa Stars coach Mohamed Fathi was left shocked with the decision by referee Kennedy Chimense to disallow a goal which could have won the pensioners the match against Circuit City.
Fathi believes the Luka Banda headed goal should have stood . The lanky defender rose highest to meet a beautiful cross but his headed effort was ruled out for off side much to the dismay of the Egyptian born trainer.
However Fathi was sceptical about talking about the referee as he feared a ban would follow if he talked alot about the referee.
” We had alot of challenges today on the pitch, A red card, Aggressive play from the opponent and a disallowed goal. I don’t know why the goal was disallowed. Everything was offside today, If we talk alot about the referee we can be banned from Zambia football,” he said.
” We just looking forward to the next game. As for the referee I will leave it to the people to judge because it’s not my job to judge the referee,” he added.
Napsa came from a goal down to hold Circuit City to a one all draw . The match was full of drama as it saw both teams finish the match with a man down after Albert Ngosa was shown red for Circuit City while Austin Banda was shown red for Napsa.
